The images let you compare the split tips and the R’s short transition against other blackletter files.
The displayed A, O, R and W have forked terminal tips and narrow vertical counters. On R, a short diagonal turn meets a near-vertical lower stem.
Updike’s historical survey discusses earlier Fraktur type; it does not identify this digital file as a copy of a particular cut.

Daniel Berkeley Updike, Printing Types: German Types 1500–1800 — Updike’s historical survey distinguishes Fraktur as a printed type category and documents examples from named dates and printers. Source excerpt: “By the seventeenth century the fraktur type-form had practically crystallized.”
The same AORW line appears in both rows at 82px. Gothic Fraktur Split has forked tips and narrow counters; compare its near-vertical R stem with Abbey Textura.
The comparison concerns these two rendered files only; the cited historical account does not establish descent.

Gothic Fraktur Split supplies the groups shown below; missing characters are omitted rather than replaced by another font.

Choose
The A, O, R and W show split or forked terminal tips.
The R has a short diagonal transition that joins a near-vertical lower stem.
Narrow vertical counters remain between the heavy strokes in the displayed capitals.
Good for
A short title where forked terminals and the R construction are part of the display treatment.
Check before using
Small running copy where its dark strokes and narrow counters would repeat across many words.
About
Gothic Fraktur Split's lowercase x reaches 77.1% of the capital height, close to the 77.1% median for decorative fonts. Ascenders on b, d, h, k and l rise 4.5% above the capitals, and descenders on g, j, p, q and y drop 20.2% of the cap height below the baseline. The o is an upright oval, 0.48 times as wide as it is tall, and W is the widest capital, at 1.09 times the width of H. The O stops 7.9% of the cap height short of H and dips 1.1% below the baseline.
The letters stand upright, leaning less than 2.5° either way. Vertical stems measure 14.5% of the cap height.
Its 148 characters include 105 Latin letters, plus 43 figures, punctuation marks and symbols; 53 of the Latin letters are accented or special forms beyond A to Z. The word space measures 45.4% of the cap height, and the blank space either side of a lowercase letter takes up 17.7% of its width. The font carries no kerning, so spacing comes from each letter’s own side bearings. The figures have different widths, so columns of numbers set in Gothic Fraktur Split will not line up exactly.

Method
The font files were checked for supported characters and visible letter shapes. AI helped describe the forms and prepare the sample compositions. The images use the named font files; samples are illustrative, and measurements come from the supplied files.
The current text and font-file specimens received an independent review.
For R, Abbey Textura reserves 0.730 em versus 0.431 em in Gothic Fraktur Split. Its wider layout space can change a short title’s line break.
Acorn Birch gives g a 0.289 em advance; here it is 0.399 em. The alternative sets that character more tightly.
