Font license for personal and commercial projects

The license below covers the entire AIFontGen font library. Start with the download option you used to see which rights apply to your project.

Font licensing for commercial work
Applies to fonts downloaded during an active Pro or Studio plan
- Create work for clients, products, packaging or ads
- Include the font in a website, app or game you distribute
- Keep these rights for those downloads after your plan ends

A signature PNG or another image created with a free tool is yours to use in personal projects or commercial work. Using that image gives you no additional rights to the underlying font file.

AIFontGenerator Font License 1.0

This license applies to the fonts in the AIFontGenerator font library (the "Fonts"). The rights you have depend on how you downloaded a Font.

1. Personal use

You may download a Font for free and install and use it in personal, non-commercial projects, such as school work, hobby projects, and personal social media posts. Personal use does not include client work, anything you sell, or anything that promotes a business or organization.

2. Commercial use and redistribution

If you download a Font while you have an active AIFontGenerator Pro or Studio plan, you may also use it commercially, including in client projects, products, packaging, advertising, websites, apps, and games. You may embed or bundle the Font in a product or project that you distribute to others. These rights continue for the Font you downloaded after your plan ends.

3. Modifications

You may modify a Font for your own projects. A modified Font is covered by the same terms as the download it came from.

4. Restrictions

You may not:

sell, share, or give away the font files on their own, or offer them in another font library, marketplace, or download service;
remove this license or the copyright notice from the font files;
claim that you created the Font.

5. No warranty

The Fonts are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. AIFontGenerator is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the Fonts.

Licenses for included components

Each component listed here is governed by its own license. The required notices appear below, separately from the font license; the terms for library fonts remain as set out above.

Droid fonts

Droid glyphs appear in some fonts created or extended with AIFontGen. Their size, weight and slant are adjusted to fit the surrounding letters. The description inside each affected font file identifies this source.

Modified by AIFontGenerator: glyphs scaled, reweighted and slanted to match the font they are part of.

Noto Sans Devanagari 1.05

Some library fonts use Noto Sans Devanagari 1.05 as the basis for Hindi letters. This is the final release covered by the Apache License. Adding Hindi with AIFontGen may also incorporate adapted glyphs from that source; affected files identify it in their font description.
