Bubble Puffy Serif: type pairing
Let the puffy serifs shape the headline and set the information in a calmer companion.
Use the rounded serif for the title only
Bubble Puffy Serif leads with its broad soft feet; Serif Book Warm changes the contrast and rhythm in the supporting line.
The 64px, 28px and 20px samples are composition settings. A real page may need more width or a shorter title to preserve the spacing.

Choose
Choosing this lettering
- 01
The capital S in “Soft Serif Social” has rounded terminals; lowercase f in the same title shows the short soft serif foot.
- 02
Lowercase e in the headline keeps an open aperture inside its broad bowl.
- 03
The two-storey a and lowercase f in the title preserve recognizable serif letter structures within the soft display style.
Good for
Use the face for a compact title that needs both rounded weight and visible serif feet.
Check before using
The soft feet and wide bowls create a dense texture in long copy; reserve it for short display lines.
About
About Bubble Puffy Serif
Bubble Puffy Serif's lowercase x reaches 73.2% of the capital height, close to the 73.2% median for display fonts. Ascenders on b, d, h, k and l rise 3.7% above the capitals, and descenders on g, j, p, q and y drop 20.2% of the cap height below the baseline. The o is close to a circle, 1.09 times as wide as it is tall, and N is the widest capital, at 1.08 times the width of H. Round letters overshoot: O rises 0.8% of the cap height above H and dips 1.1% below the baseline.
The letters stand upright, leaning less than 2.5° either way. Vertical stems measure 30.4% of the cap height. Strokes change thickness with direction: the sides of o and O are 1.7 times as thick as their tops and bottoms.
Its 148 characters include 105 Latin letters, plus 43 figures, punctuation marks and symbols; 53 of the Latin letters are accented or special forms beyond A to Z. The word space measures 45.9% of the cap height, and the blank space either side of a lowercase letter takes up 10.8% of its width. The font carries no kerning, so spacing comes from each letter’s own side bearings. The figures have different widths, so columns of numbers set in Bubble Puffy Serif will not line up exactly.
Measured from the version 0.1.2 font file. Comparisons are with the 1 published library fonts measured on November 4, 2026, 1 of them display fonts.
